This vehicle segment combines the comfort of passenger cars with the structure of vehicles designed for light cargo. Being defined in this segment, it is not always equipped with safety systems that address the same hazards present in private cars and sometimes in light commercial vehicles.

Vehicles in this segment face challenges that other vehicles do not encounter, such as reversing. It is not always possible to install reverse sensors, and reverse cameras cannot always be installed. Even if reverse cameras are installed, the lens angle does not allow for obtaining information if a crossing vehicle is approaching while reversing. The long working hours of the drivers of these vehicles and their work environment cause a constant wear on the drivers’ alertness level.
