Blind Spot Information System for Busses detects pedestrians, cyclists, motorcycles and cars according to the ECE R151 standard requirements, and provides solutions for detecting the presence of objects in the “blind spot” zone.
BSIS was designed to provide the driver with identification and warning from objects on the right side of the vehicle (Bus/Truck) (area A) identification of objects appearing from an area perpendicular to the vehicle’s front side (area D).
Our BSIS is based on sensors powered by a 77 GHz radar technology.
A vehicle’s “blind spot“ is
an unseen zone by the drivers. This fact can be very dangerous when objects or
vehicles exist in this area and the drivers are not aware of this fact. This problem is prominent in trucks and buses
and especially at the right side of the vehicle.
Every year a lot of people are killed and
injured in accidents that happen at the right side of the Trucks/Buses, because
drivers cannot detect the presence of objects or vehicles in a blind spot zone
of the driver’s field of vision.
Therefore, the European UN Regulation (ECE
R151) requires a system that will inform / alert the driver of a presence of a
Bike/motorcycle at the right side of the vehicle.
